Dear Friends, dear foot addict community members of EFAS,

I do hope my words will find all of you in good health!
Times are not running so well for the world and specially for Europe.
The COVID-19 breakdown is devastating a part of Europe and constitutes a threat for our economic and political organizations.
Nevertheless, resistance is in progress everywhere in Europe with or without the support of the different governments. To protect the people is the main goal and the duty of every doctor and member of health organizations in every country.
We, foot and ankle surgeons, mainly EFAS members, are part of this system. We must work every day to improve the quality of the shield.
In the meantime, EFAS, our society, your society, remains the shelter for the foot addict community. The links between us must be reinforced.
Even some events were logically cancelled (EFAS specimen course in Paris, IFFAS in Chile), « the time after Â» will be crucial for EFAS. Chairs of the different committees, Council members and EFAS secretary team of MCO are « at work Â», thanks to the call conference systems, social media and website, to ensure the links with all of you remain active, effective and efficient. My deeply thanks to all the members of this organizing system of EFAS that allow such an interaction.
The future will be sunny and bright for our community and, thanks to all of you, the upcoming events of EFAS will be successful. Till now the EFAS day at EFORT meeting in Vienna is maintained in June 2020 ( The Specimen committee is working hard to prepare a tuning course in Augsburg, on November 12-13 2020 ( Likewise, the  Education committee is organizing an Instructional course « new look Â» in Athens on December 2-4 2020 (  The program for the prodigious EFAS meeting in Marseille on October 22-24 2020 is fixed and the abstracts’ registration have already started some weeks ago. Together, for sure, we will make this event, an unforgettable one.
For now, all our resources must be focused on facing as good as possible this Pandemic, with all our power and energy. All my positive feelings go to all of you and specially for our colleagues currently been hit so hard in Italy, Spain, France and probably, in the next few days, in some other parts of Europe and the World.

Be brave. Take care of you, your family, your patients….
